Jason brings the experience he has gained in senior roles in national and international organizations, and through operating consulting, revegetation, and farming businesses.

Between 2008 and 2013 Jason was a Senior Executive at the Australian Murray Darling Basin Authority with responsibilities for natural resource management, water reform, climate science, and ecosystem management.

Jason has also developed and coordinated national R&D programs on climate, water, vegetation, and biodiversity and initiated the successful citizen science program ClimateWatch.

Managing Director

Jason Alexandra has completed over 100 research and consulting projects in the role of Managing Director for Alexandra and Associates Pty. Ltd.,

These projects include coordinating national research and development programs and leading evaluations of national programs such as the NHT and NLP. Alexandra recently completed a Strategic Plan for Irrigation R&D in Tasmania using participatory foresight methods that the OECD nominated this work “a public sector innovation of international significance”.

Jason has worked with many diverse stakeholders in cooperatively developing strategies and plans. Jason has a strong commitment to sustainability and Indigenous justice. He worked throughout 2020 with the Martuwarra Fitzroy River Council (MFRC) and the Nulungu Research Institute at the University of Notre Dame - A conservation and management plan for the National Heritage listed Fitzroy River Catchment Estate (No. 1). (2020).

Researcher
